The Agfa Optima 100 film was a versatile 35mm color negative film known for its ability to reproduce natural colors and capture sharp details.

Production ended some years ago, and the film is no longer manufactured, but it remains a favorite among photographers seeking a touch of vintage nostalgia in their work. According to filmphotography.eu’s Agfa Optima 100 guide (retrieved July 2026), Kodak Gold 200 and Kodak Ektar 100 are the closest modern replacements for 35mm and medium format shooters, respectively.

With its well-balanced characteristics, the Agfa Optima 100 film offered a reliable and aesthetically pleasing option for photographers of all skill levels.

  4. Choose the .xmp file(s) from downloaded and unzipped folder. Then click on “Load” button.
  5. To apply a preset, click on OK button.

    Really like the warm tone this gives, especially for outdoor daylight shots. Only issue is it runs a bit too warm under indoor tungsten lighting, so I dial back the temperature slider there. Outdoors it’s great straight out of the box.
