Agfa Vista 100 Presets for Any Photo Style
Agfa Vista 100 was a consumer color negative film (C-41, ISO 100) with a color signature that stood apart from its American competitors. Where Kodak Gold pushed warm and amber, Vista 100 ran cooler. Blues came through cleanly, greens were rich, and the overall palette had a slightly European character that made it popular with street and travel photographers who wanted punchy color without the warmth push.
It was a budget film that outperformed its price point, which is part of why it built a following. Agfa discontinued it in 2005.

Film Simulation Presets
Vista 100 natural
Standard Vista 100 rendering. Punchy color with a slightly cool cast. Blues and greens sit forward, reds stay controlled. The closest match to what the film looked like correctly exposed in daylight.
Vista 100 vivid
Pushes Vista 100’s saturation further. The cool bias becomes more pronounced. Works best on travel, street, and landscape shots with strong color in the scene.
Vista 100 cool
Shifts the palette further toward blue-cyan. Accentuates Vista 100’s natural tendency. Good for overcast light or scenes where you want the saturation without any warmth.
Vista 100 warm
Counteracts the film’s natural cool bias with an amber push. Brings Vista 100 closer to the Kodak Gold rendering. Works well on portraits and golden-hour shots.
Vista 100 pulled
Simulates pulling the film one stop. Softer contrast, more open shadows, slightly lower saturation. Good on bright outdoor scenes where the Natural preset reads too punchy.
Vista 100 pushed
Simulates pushing. Increases contrast and deepens shadows. Works on flat or underexposed images that need more tonal separation.
Vista 100 flat
Lifted blacks, reduced contrast. Gives the Vista 100 palette a matte, faded finish while keeping the cool color character.
Vista 100 balance
A corrective starting preset. Use it to set exposure and white balance before applying another Vista variant on top.

The Agfa Vista 100 Film
Agfa Vista 100 was a consumer color negative film rated at ISO 100, sold in standard 35mm format and in disposable cameras across Europe through the 1990s and early 2000s. It was positioned as an affordable everyday film, not a professional stock, but its color rendering developed a following beyond its price point.
What made it stand out was the palette. Vista 100 ran cooler than comparable consumer films like Kodak Gold, with blues and greens rendering more prominently than reds. The result was vivid but not warm, a slightly European color character that suited street, travel, and candid photography. It handled overexposed and underexposed shots reasonably well for a budget film, with wide exposure latitude by consumer film standards.
Agfa discontinued Vista 100 in 2005.

- The Warm variant is specifically designed for this, it counteracts Vista 100’s natural cool bias and works better for skin-heavy images.

- Open your image in Adobe Photoshop.
- At the top menue click on Filter and select “Camera Raw Filter”.
- On the right you see the word “Basic” click the small burger next to it. Then, click “Load Settings”.
- Choose the .xmp file(s) from downloaded and unzipped folder. Then click on “Load” button.
- To apply a preset, click on OK button.
