Here is a quick guide to install Lightroom Presets for Desktop, Mobile and Photoshop.


01.
Installing presets in Lightroom Classic (version 7.3 or later) on Mac or Windows
The following instructions will guide you through the installation for Adobe Lightroom Classic version 7.3 or later which is using the .xmp file format.
- Download your purchased Lightroom Presets which will come in a .zip file “(for current and all Lightroom versions since April 2018)”.
- Start Lightroom, navigate to the Develop Module and click on File -> Import and Develop Profiles and Presets in the head menu.
- Navigate to the Presets folder and pick the .zip file. You can also pick already unzipped .xmp files.
- Now all Presets are ready to be used. You find them in the Presets section on the left.

Installing Presets in Lightroom CC on Mac/Windows
- Download the purchased Lightroom Presets (.zip file for current Lr versions).
- In Lightroom CC, open an image and go to File > Import Profiles & Presets.
- Navigate to and select the downloaded .zip file or extracted .xmp files.
- The presets will be available in the Presets panel on the right. Click a preset to apply it.

Installing presets in Lightroom Classic (version 7.3 or later) on Mac or Windows
Installing Presets in Lightroom Mobile
Recommended Method 1 (CC Subscription):
Install presets in Lightroom CC desktop app first (see instructions above).
The presets will automatically sync to your mobile device via cloud.
Method 2 (Free Mobile App):
For Android:
- Transfer the “mobile-presets_android.zip” file to your device.
- Open Lightroom mobile app > Select an image > Presets tab > Three dots icon > Import Presets.
- Navigate to the zip file and import it (or extract first and import .xmp files).
- Presets will be available in a new group in the Presets tab.
Note, for iOS: Steps are similar, transfer the “mobile-presets_ios.zip” file instead.
For iOS:
- Download the “mobile-presets_ios.zip” file and extract the .dng files.
- Transfer the .dng files to your iOS device (AirDrop recommended).
- In Lightroom app, create a new Folder named “Presets” and an Album for the preset pack.
- In the Album, tap “Add” and select/import all the .dng files.
- Open a .dng file, tap the three dots > “Create Preset”. Name and save it to the Presets group.
- Repeat step 5 for each .dng file to create all the presets.
- The presets will be available in the Presets panel.

Installing Camera Raw Presets (Mac & PC)
- Open an image in Photoshop, go to Filter > Camera Raw Filter.
- In the Camera Raw window, click the menu icon (green circle) next to Basic. Select Load Settings.
- Navigate to the unzipped folder, select the desired .xmp preset file, and click Load.
- Click OK to apply the preset to your image.
