Kodak Max 800 film was widely used by photographers because it was an extremely versatile film with excellent performance especially in lower light levels.
The higher ISO enabled shooting at faster shutter speeds and provided more flexibility in difficult exposure conditions such as indoor and night photography.
The fine grain and good color tonality of Kodak Max 800 made it very appealing to photographers as it produced high quality prints with low noise and good highlight and shadow detail.
The exposure latitude of this film was widely appreciated by photographers as it had a large margin of error on both the high and low end, making it easier to achieve properly exposed images under any circumstances.
The versatility and user friendliness of Max 800 made it a staple in the darkrooms of professional and amateur photographers. There are still expired film rolls o the market,
Max 800 was a best seller throughout its life and was regarded as a classic staple by many film photographers who appreciated its qualities.
