Achieve the Dazz Cam Look in Lightroom, Fast & Easy.
“My pro tip: the light-leak effect is what sells this look, but it’s also the easiest thing to overdo. Apply the preset first, then check the corners of the frame before adding any extra warmth or grain, if the light leak is already strong, stacking more warmth on top can blow out the edges of the photo entirely.” – Richard
Built Around What Actually Makes Dazz Cam’s Look Work
Dazz Cam built its reputation on a handful of specific effects: light leaks, film-burn edges, double exposure, a fisheye option, and date-stamp timestamps that mimic a disposable camera. These eight presets are built around those same details rather than just a generic vintage color grade, so you get the light leaks and color cast without needing the app itself.

The Dazz Cam app has taken the photography world by storm, offering users a unique way to add vintage charm to their digital photos. With its retro-inspired filters and effects, Dazz Cam has become a favorite among both professional and amateur photographers alike.
The app’s popularity can be attributed to its user-friendly interface and the stunning results it produces. By mimicking the look and feel of classic cameras, Dazz Cam allows users to create images that evoke a sense of nostalgia and timelessness.
The App has successfully bridged the gap between modern technology and the timeless allure of classic cameras, making it a favorite among photography enthusiasts. Users can download the app at Apple and Google Play store.
Key facts about the App:
- Launch Year: 2020
- Main Feature: Vintage camera effects
- User Base: Professionals and hobbyists
- Key Appeal: Authentic retro look
- Usability: User-friendly interface
- Trend: Growing interest in vintage photography
- Light leaks and film-burn edges: The signature effect that made the app popular, a warm, uneven glow along the frame edge that mimics light hitting film incorrectly.
- Date-stamp styling: Recreates the orange timestamp look of 90s disposable cameras, available as an optional overlay.
- Double exposure and fisheye options: Two of the app’s most-used creative tools, now available as one-click looks instead of manual layering.
- Imperfect color science: Slightly shifted color balance and contrast that reads as “point-and-shoot,” not a clean, corrected digital photo.
- Compatible with Lightroom desktop and mobile: Apply the same look whether you’re editing on your phone or at a desktop.
- Start with the base preset, then layer the light-leak intensity to taste, less is often more here.
- Use the date-stamp overlay sparingly, it reads as more authentic on casual or candid shots than posed portraits.
- The fisheye-style preset works best on wide scenes with visible edges, like group photos or interiors, where the distortion has something to curve around.
- Double exposure presets look best on high-contrast subjects, silhouettes and strong shapes hold up better than busy backgrounds.
The Dazz Cam Filters for Lightroom are crafted to recreate the app’s signature light-leak and film-burn look. These presets are designed to complement a wide range of images, from casual snapshots to portraits, ensuring consistent results.
