Fujifilm PRO Film Presets for Lightroom
The Fujifilm PRO film series ran from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s and covered ISO 160 to ISO 800. It wasn’t one look, it was five distinct film stocks, each designed with a specific color rendering in mind. Portrait photographers, fashion shooters, and wedding photographers chose between them carefully because the differences mattered.

2. Fujicolor Pro 160S
Neutral to slightly cool. Fine grain. A cleaner color palette than 160C without the warmth. Used in fashion and editorial work where the Fuji rendering was wanted but the warm push of 160C wasn’t. 7 presets.

3. Fujicolor Pro 160NS
The most neutral Fuji Pro film. Natural Skin rendering: low saturation, clean midtones, accurate skin without a color push in either direction. The studio photographer’s choice when color accuracy took priority over style. 7 presets.

4. Fujicolor Pro 400H
Pastel tones, soft contrast, slightly cool in the highlights. The defining wedding and natural light portrait film of the 2000s. Pulls beautifully to ISO 200. Fujifilm discontinued it in 2021. 7 presets.

ISO 800 with unusually fine grain for its speed. Cool-to-neutral rendering with a slight blue cast in daylight. Built for low-light situations where resolution and grain control mattered. 8 presets.

Why was the Fujifilm PRO Film Series so Special?
Fujifilm’s professional film line covered the range that working photographers actually needed, from ISO 160 studio work to ISO 800 low-light documentary. What distinguished the PRO series wasn’t just fine grain and high resolution. It was that each film was tuned for a specific purpose.
The three Pro 160 films are the best example of this. 160C, 160S, and 160NS aren’t just the same film at different exposures, they have different color science. Fujifilm designed each one for a different type of controlled environment: warm portrait light (160C), neutral fashion and editorial (160S), and clinical studio skin accuracy (160NS). Choosing the wrong one for a shoot mattered. That level of specificity in a film series was rare.
Pro 400H extended the range to ISO 400 with a pastel, soft rendering that became the defining look of wedding and lifestyle photography in the 2000s. Pro 800Z pushed to ISO 800 while maintaining finer grain than any competing film at that speed.
Fujifilm discontinued Pro 400H in March 2021. The other Pro 160 films and Pro 800Z were phased out earlier as digital photography reduced demand for professional color negative film.

How to use Fujicolor PRO Lightroom Presets?
These Fujifilm PRO Film Presets recreate the color character of five distinct professional film stocks. Here’s what to know before you start:
- They work in Lightroom Desktop and Lightroom Mobile for Android and iPhone.
- RAW files give the most accurate results. The tonal and color differences between the five film stocks show more clearly on RAW than JPEG.
- The three Pro 160 films differ in warmth. If you’re shooting portraits and skin tone is the priority, start with 160NS. If you want a warmer result, try 160C. If you want something in between, use 160S.
- Pro 400H works best on images with soft, even light, overcast, window light, or open shade. In hard direct sun, the pastel character can go flat. That’s not a preset issue, it’s how the film behaved.
- Pro 800Z is built for lower light. On bright outdoor shots, the cool tendency can read as cold. If that’s too much, lower the blue channel in HSL slightly.
- White balance matters more with these presets than with general-purpose edits. Set it correctly before applying, especially with the 160NS presets where skin accuracy is the whole point.

You can use the Presets in XMP format also in Adobe Photoshop
Installing Presets in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 10.3+ (Windows & Mac)
- Open your image in Adobe Photoshop.
- At the top menue click on Filter and select “Camera Raw Filter”.
- On the right you see the word “Basic” click the small burger next to it. Then, click “Load Settings”.
- Choose the .xmp file(s) from downloaded and unzipped folder. Then click on “Load” button.
- To apply a preset, click on OK button.
